hugs

 hello crafty stampers!

I'm joining in today with the aaacards challenge for game 210 with a lovely card featuring my favourite colour.

The theme is a sketch and a silhouette.

I wanted to use a new stamp set from MFT Flower Silhouettes and chose this tall slender stamp. I used MFT Circles stencil to ink the circle design with Altenew Dew Drops which gives a lovely soft aqua tone. The sentiment is from Paper Rose Hugs Fine Script die set, cut from matching ink blended card and also black card slightly offset to create a shadow effect. Lastly some wink of stella was applied to the sentiment for shine.

Since this is the first time using this lovely MFT flower silhouettes stamp set, I'm also entering this card in Darnell's NBUS blog.  Hope you're doing well, Darnell! sending hugs ;)

Perfectly CAS March challenge #25

 hello lovely stampers!

I'm so thrilled and honoured to be joining the talented design team at Perfectly CAS! Every month they showcase wonderful CAS cards around a theme, and all using no more than 1/3 of the card panel. Doesn't sound too hard does it? I do love CAS cards and can't wait to get into it.

This month the theme is: Die Cuts.

The middle third of the card panel was masked off for the background, ink blended with bundled sage distress oxide ink then stamped with the same ink using Darkroom Door Flourish texture stamp.

Using Paper Rose Bird Houses die set, the bird houses and birds were die cut from slate, white and pink card. The sentiment from Altenew Mini Daisy stamp set was stamped in Altenew Silver Stone then heat embossed with clear for some shine. Lastly some pink card scraps were adhered to the top and bottom of the card base.

We'd love you to join us in the challenge this month - we can't wait for you to show us your die cut creativity! Just remember to use 1/3 of the card or less.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you in our gallery!

meow's it going

 hello stampers!

I was thrilled to see the addicted to cas challenge has my favourite theme this month - Feline! So many ideas in my head, I couldn't wait to get started!

I chose the feline image from iCrafter Purrfect Birthday stamp set. Stamped the cat and the mouse and then watercolored and fussy cut them. For the background, I used the Darkroom Door Brick Wall stencil and lightly blended with distress oxide ink, roughly bigger than the cat image. The cat was adhered on his feet and has foam squares under his head. The bush was die cut twice using Hero Arts Succulent die set, cut down to the size I wanted, and glued in place just along the bottom so it would stand up a little. The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped on the card panel.

Just before I go, I wanted to share a quick pic I took just a couple of days ago of another cheeky feline! This is my cat, Sox who had spotted a kookaburra sitting on our balcony railing. Luckily the screen door was closed or he would have been a-huntin'!

adulthood

 hello crafty stampers!

I'm playing along today with the talented sisters at snarky stampers where their theme this fortnight is: #205 V is for Vibrant. Edna is sporting somewhat of an Andy Warhol throwback look and she pretty much carries it off!

Here's a warning - put your sunglasses on!

I found this pic I had of jellybeans (is your mouth watering too?) 😋 and couldn't resist using it. Such VIBRANT (!) colours, such sweet yumminess, such childhood delights. I wanted to curl up on the sofa and scoff a whole bowl of them. But... I didn't. I adulted.

I made a card using scraps of the brightest matching colours I could find and adhered them together random-like on a red card base. The sentiment is a Tim Holtz Small Talk sticker.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

*Edit: thanks lovely sisters for my crown!

happy bee-day

 hello stampers!

The team at freshlymadesketches have a new challenge this fortnight with a super simple sketch:

I wanted to use some recently arrived paper from Paper Rose and I felt this sketch would work well with different papers. I'm usually not a big paper user, but this pack is just so gorgeous and being a gardener, I have a lot of respect for the bees!

The first paper layer was trimmed to suit the sketch and adhered, then the second layer was trimmed and then die cut with several hexagon shapes to reveal the first paper layer with the bees! One hexagon was turned over to reveal the other side of the paper with a little daisy. The second layer was mounted on foam squares. The sentiment is from the same paper pack, mounted on white card. The card is finished with a little bow of black & white twine.

I'm also sending this one to Paper Rose for their monthly giveaway - this month the theme is to use Paper Rose paper packs.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies: Paper Rose Bee Hive paper pack, Hero Arts Hexagon Infinity dies, black & white twine
