happy birthday

 hello stampers!

I'm playing along with the lovely team at addicted to cas #252 where the theme is geometric. I wanted to use some new to me dies from Gummiapan also, so will post this to Darnell's fabulous blog, NBUS.

The background was stencilled using All & Create Lotza Dotz, and a rectangular stencil. The tree dies were die cut from ink smooshed card then ink blended on one side for some dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

thinking of you

 hello crafters!

I'm joining in today with the lovely team at addictedtocas who currently have challenge #250 with the theme: sky.  I love a good sunset and what can be prettier than silhouettes against a sunset sky? Beautiful.

I went with a trio of distress oxides to ink blend the sky, then die cut the silhouettes from black card. The ground was just cut with a cutting wheel in the shape I wanted.

Since I haven't used this large dandelion die before, I'm also posting this card to Darnell's fabulous blog, NBUS. Sending hugs, Darnell!

seasons greetings

 hello stampers!

I'm joining in today with the challenge at addicted to cas where the code word is: present

I wanted to do a pile of presents and found some lovely paper that I used to cut out the presents and stack them.  I die cut a square in the card front using Hero Arts Infinity Squares and adhered a backing of white dotted silver paper then stacked the presents in front and over the cutout. The sentiment was also cut from the paper and mounted on some foam squares for dimension.

coffee

 hello crafty stampers!

I've had a bit of fun today with the latest addicted to cas challenge where the code word is: stripes

I began by stamping and die cutting the bear and ice floe using MFT Cool Day stamp set and coordinating die set. The ice floe I gently coloured the edges and adhered it to the card panel.  I coloured the bear's sweater and hat with stripes using textas, his coffee mug with dots and gently shaded his fur, then popped him up with foam squares. The sentiment is a Tim Holtz Small Talk sticker.

I just love this bear - his facial expression is priceless! And so versatile 😁

hello

 hello stampers!

Playing along with the addicted to cas challenge #218 where they're asking for a one layer card. I find one layer cards tricky as I always think they need something more, but I think the challenge is to make them interesting WITHOUT the something more 😉

I started by choosing the stamp I wanted to use. Darkroom Door Under the Sea has some beautiful images and this seahorse is my favourite. I inked her with distress oxide, spritzed with water then stamped the image in my MISTI. A couple more partial inkings were stamped with different colours - I used 4 colours in all - to highlight different areas. The Scrapmatts Waves stencil was used for the water and the sentiment is from Altenew Sentiment Strips.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

here for you

 hello lovely stampers!

Playing along today with the addicted to cas challenge #216 - Water.

I've wanted to use this splash stencil from Paper Rose for a while and thought it would be perfect this time. The stencil was inked with distress oxides and splattered with water. The fish from Darkroom Door Under the Sea were stamped on ink blended card, fussy cut and popped up on foam. The sentiment is from Altenew Sentiment Strips.

meow's it going

 hello stampers!

I was thrilled to see the addicted to cas challenge has my favourite theme this month - Feline! So many ideas in my head, I couldn't wait to get started!

I chose the feline image from iCrafter Purrfect Birthday stamp set. Stamped the cat and the mouse and then watercolored and fussy cut them. For the background, I used the Darkroom Door Brick Wall stencil and lightly blended with distress oxide ink, roughly bigger than the cat image. The cat was adhered on his feet and has foam squares under his head. The bush was die cut twice using Hero Arts Succulent die set, cut down to the size I wanted, and glued in place just along the bottom so it would stand up a little. The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped on the card panel.

Just before I go, I wanted to share a quick pic I took just a couple of days ago of another cheeky feline! This is my cat, Sox who had spotted a kookaburra sitting on our balcony railing. Luckily the screen door was closed or he would have been a-huntin'!

warm blessings

 hello crafty stampers!

I'm joining in with the addicted to cas challenge this fortnight where the theme is a code word: snowflake.

I used several colours of distress oxide inks to create some ink smooshed panels, then used the Hero Arts Large Snowflake and Swirls dies to die cut and assemble the snowflakes. Some wink of stella was added to the outside points of the snowflakes (although it's hard to capture in the pic).

The sentiment from Altenew Warm Blessings is stamped in distress oxide then clear heat embossed. Finished it off with a tiny blue jewel in the centre of the snowflake.

especially for you

 hello stampers!

I'm outdoing myself, I know - 2 posts in as many days! I might have to lie down for a bit! I've done a lovely little card for the addicted to CAS challenge #213 Hearts.

I'll give it to hubby who loves my cooking 😉 so a warm steaming bowl of love is on the menu for Valentines Day! lol

The bowl was stamped on red card using Hero Arts DC236 stamp and cut, and fussy cut. The hearts were die cut using a Recollections tiny heart die from strips of card adhered together in a rainbow design and also red card. The sentiment from Penny Black Grown with Love was stamped and white heat embossed on a scrap of dark grey card ink blended with distress oxide Black Soot. This was then die cut using Paper Rose Stitched Rectangle die. A white gelly roll pen was added for some interest and the card panel was popped up on foam strips on a white card base.
