CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #529 sketch

 hello crafters!

Here's the first of our monthly sketch challenges at CAS Colours & Sketches, and this lovely challenge was put together by Jeanne. Since Valentine's Day is approaching, maybe this is an opportunity to put some love onto your card. Hope you'll join us in the gallery!

To keep is CAS, I chose to emboss half of the front panel. I thought the little lock and key were so cute, I couldn't resist putting them with the cut out heart. After die cutting them from a stencilled offcut, I rubbed foundry wax on them to make them look metallic. This turned out to be a simple card with no stamping!

The current AAA cards challenge #257 is also CAS with an optional twist of "love is in the air" and the current tictactoe challenge has first column: heart, red, punch or die cut, so I'll post this one in those challenges too!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. We'd love to see your card in the CC&S gallery!

  • dies: Alexandra Renke slide frame vertical, Hunkydory ornate heart, Gummiapan safety kit, Honeybee buzzwords
  • embossing: Fiskars texture plate hearts

white on white

 hello crafters!

I love the idea of white on white which is what the talented team at aaacards have for their challenge this week. Happy to be able to join in!

I wanted to create dimension and texture on the card since there is no colour. The Gummiapan twigs were die cut and arranged in the vase which was embossed using the SU subtle embossing folder and mounted on foam squares. The little tag with the heart was tied on with bakers twine. The whole panel was framed with an embossed line using Fiskars texture plate, then the panel was adhered to the card base using foam squares.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

hugs

 hello crafty stampers!

I'm joining in today with the aaacards challenge for game 210 with a lovely card featuring my favourite colour.

The theme is a sketch and a silhouette.

I wanted to use a new stamp set from MFT Flower Silhouettes and chose this tall slender stamp. I used MFT Circles stencil to ink the circle design with Altenew Dew Drops which gives a lovely soft aqua tone. The sentiment is from Paper Rose Hugs Fine Script die set, cut from matching ink blended card and also black card slightly offset to create a shadow effect. Lastly some wink of stella was applied to the sentiment for shine.

Since this is the first time using this lovely MFT flower silhouettes stamp set, I'm also entering this card in Darnell's NBUS blog.  Hope you're doing well, Darnell! sending hugs ;)

Thanks for stopping by!

I sits

 hello crafty stampers!

I'm playing along with aaacards who have a great theme this fortnight:

Who can resist an opportunity to feature their favourite animal?

I starred my cat (of course) and a cushion stamped using MFT BB Cool Cat and watercolored, fussy cut, popped up on foam squares and highlighted by a tiny blend of distress oxide ink in the background. The sentiment is from iCrafter Purrfect Birthday stamp set.

Thanks for spending a bit of your day with me!
