hugs

 morning stampers!

I was up early today so I could finish off a card I started yesterday for the paper players. Stef has presented a sketch challenge this week and I had to join in the fun!

I got a pack of free design paper a few months ago when I purchased some crafty items and I've finally broken it out!  But I only used the reverse side (is there a reverse side?). Then I raided my die cut stash and found the little hexagons, a bloom, and a banner. Perfect! The leaves were die cut from the same paper as the die cut strip. The sentiment was die cut from the background card. And all these were mounted over some stamped random dots.

Thanks for stopping by and spending some time with me today!

oh so happy

hello stampers!

I'm joining in today with a clean and simple challenge over at the paper players, where Christy has chosen the theme: baby animals. I don't have many stamps or dies of baby animals (yes I was shocked too!) so my choices were limited, but I did manage to find a ewe and lamb from my favourite MFT set. Happy days!

I stencilled the background with a large brush and subtle greenish hue which gives a lovely detail around the edge of the stencil shapes. This colour was matched with a panel mounted behind. The ewe and lamb were stamped in a pale grey on hammered card, to give the look of wool, then die cut and gently coloured, to keep the look soft and subtle.

Thanks for stopping by today - have a great day :)

happy birthday

 hello crafters!

I'm joining in today with the talented team at the paper players. It's a tic tac toe challenge and I chose to use the centre row: orange, die cut, stencil. Also posting it in the just us girls challenge #746 where it is stencil week.

I began by stencilling the background using Hero Arts Fall Leaves stencil. I used 4 distress oxide colours starting with the lightest and moved the stencil around between stencilling each colour. It gives such an interesting effect with so much dimension. Boots and sentiment are from Gummiapan, leaves from Spellbinders. The little leaves were die cut from ink smooshed card and adhered under the boots.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

cupcake

 hello lovely stampers!

It's a rainy, stormy day today which gave me crafty time :) so I'm joining in with a couple of challenges. Timeout challenge #260 has a 'striped' theme and the paper players have a tictactoe challenge. I chose the right column of ribbon, embossing, pastels.

I wanted a subtle background so inked up a few little stamps in soft colours. I've recently got a few of the teensy tiniest stamps from Gummiapan which you can see top right, going downwards. The sentiment is also from Gummiapan which makes me giggle! The icing was die cut from ink blended card then the outer part was clear heat embossed for shine. The cupcake was die cut from pastel pink card stencilled with darker pink stripes.

Since a few of the stamps are new, I'm also posting this to Darnell's fabulous blog, NBUS. Sending hugs, Darnell, hope you're well!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
