cupcake

 hello lovely stampers!

It's a rainy, stormy day today which gave me crafty time :) so I'm joining in with a couple of challenges. Timeout challenge #260 has a 'striped' theme and the paper players have a tictactoe challenge. I chose the right column of ribbon, embossing, pastels.

I wanted a subtle background so inked up a few little stamps in soft colours. I've recently got a few of the teensy tiniest stamps from Gummiapan which you can see top right, going downwards. The sentiment is also from Gummiapan which makes me giggle! The icing was die cut from ink blended card then the outer part was clear heat embossed for shine. The cupcake was die cut from pastel pink card stencilled with darker pink stripes.

Since a few of the stamps are new, I'm also posting this to Darnell's fabulous blog, NBUS. Sending hugs, Darnell, hope you're well!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

  • dies: Paper Rose cupcake, Memory Box mini butterflies
  • stamps: Gummiapan hello, surprise, enjoy the little things, sentiment, Kaisercraft script, MFT take shape
  • stencil: MFT radiating rays
  • inks: picked raspberry, spun sugar, ground espresso, lost shadow distress oxides

happy birthday

 hello stampers!

I'm playing along with the lovely team at addicted to cas #252 where the theme is geometric. I wanted to use some new to me dies from Gummiapan also, so will post this to Darnell's fabulous blog, NBUS.

The background was stencilled using All & Create Lotza Dotz, and a rectangular stencil. The tree dies were die cut from ink smooshed card then ink blended on one side for some dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

thinking of you

 hello crafters!

I'm joining in today with the lovely team at addictedtocas who currently have challenge #250 with the theme: sky.  I love a good sunset and what can be prettier than silhouettes against a sunset sky? Beautiful.

I went with a trio of distress oxides to ink blend the sky, then die cut the silhouettes from black card. The ground was just cut with a cutting wheel in the shape I wanted.

Since I haven't used this large dandelion die before, I'm also posting this card to Darnell's fabulous blog, NBUS. Sending hugs, Darnell!

Thanks for stopping by!

always be yourself

 hello stampers!

I had some time today on a rainy Sunday afternoon so I made a card for justusgirls challenge #689 where it's CAS week with the theme 'three of something'.

I've had these Gummiapan penguin dies for a little while but hadn't used them before today - so cute! I paired them with some MFT iceberg dies and some salty ocean and tumbled glass distress oxide ink smooshed background card. Sentiment was computer generated.

I'm also linking this one up to Darnell's fabulous blog, NBUS. Sending hugs Darnell!

depresso

 hello stampers!

I saw the new sketch over at freshly made sketches and knew exactly what I was going to make for the challenge! Doesn't happen often so I'm definitely taking this one!

The background was stencilled using Paper Rose lines stencil and ground espresso distress oxide ink, to make a gingham look in coffee colour! Coffee cups and sentiment are by Gummiapan.

First time cutting these coffee cup dies so I'm also linking up to Darnell's fabulous blog NBUS. Hugs to you Darnell!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

crazy

 hello lovely stampers!

I have a sweet card for you today. I'm playing along with the sisterhood and their latest challenge #209: U is for Underwater.

I've had this stamp set for a little while now but this is the first time using this meece stamp. And yes, it was more than a little fiddly to stamp cleanly 😏. I ended up stamping the meeces in 3 different colours in my MISTI finally settling on black soot oxide ink for a slightly washed out black look (they are underwater after all!).

The background is ink smooshed with 3 different blue hues of oxide ink. I think it was about 6 layers of inking and drying! I watercoloured their hats with abandoned coral oxide ink which really popped against the blue. The sentiment was popped up on tiny foam strips. The panel edges were ink blended with black soot and also chipped sapphire.

I'm entering this in Darnell's fabulous NBUS blog too! Hope you're doing well, Darnell! x

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

  • stamps: stampendous birthday splash, darkroom door under the sea
  • inks: tumbled glass, chipped sapphire, blueprint sketch, abandoned coral, pumice stone, weathered wood, pine needles, black soot distress oxides
  • sentiment: Tim Holtz snarky small talk sticker
