 hello stampers!

I'm joining in with the paper players this week where they have a CAS challenge - my favourite! The challenge is to use a bird on your card.

I made a smooshed ink panel with several distress oxide colours and die cut a rectangle from it. A slightly bigger rectangle was die cut from white card, then embossed with the SU subtle embossing folder. The birdhouse from Paper Rose was die cut from an ink blended panel and adhered. The Gummiapan birds were die cut from the inked panel, stacked twice and adhered with teeny tiny foam squares. Sentiment from Gummiapan was stamped and clear heat embossed.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

CC&S December challenge - 500th!

 hello lovely stampers!

I'm thrilled to be joining the talented CAS colours and sketches DT for their fortnightly challenges starting January 2023! So to give you all a taste of what's in store, we're joining in with the team for this last challenge of the year.

But first, a big congratulations to the CC&S team for this, their 500th challenge. A huge milestone and one  that should make them very proud! And they've organised some prize goodies for some lucky challenge participants. Woohoo!

The December challenge is to "choose any CC&S challenge from 2022 and make it seasonal". For this challenge you have until December 31 to post your card in the gallery so let's get inking!

I chose sketch #465 from April 12.

The background was die cut from an inked panel, then embossed using an embossing folder. This was mounted on a silver rectangle slightly bigger, then adhered to the card front.

The trees were die cut from silver paper and white card then stacked and adhered to the panel. The sentiment was stamped then mounted on foam squares.

Remember you have all this month to get your card in with a chance to win some prizes!

Thanks so much for stopping by and can't wait to see your creations in the gallery!

  • inks: pine needles, black soot distress oxide
  • dies: gummiapan, spellbinders
  • embossing folder: kaisercraft mountains

Perfectly CAS November challenge #33

 hello crafty stampers!

Thanks for joining us in our new Perfectly CAS monthly challenge where the theme is: snowflakes. I just love snowflakes and have always loved them all sparkly at night!

Two snowflakes were die cut from a black panel using a Gummiapan snowflake die set. Then some inked card was adhered to the back of the panel so it showed through the negative space. Another snowflake was die cut from the inked panel, stacked 3 times and adhered on top of the snowflake cutouts. The sentiment was white heat embossed and adhered with tiny foam squares.

We'd love to see your snowflakes creation in our gallery. Thanks so much for stopping by!

  • dies: gummiapan snowflake
  • stamps: hero arts color layering snowflake bundle
  • inks: versamark, salvaged patina, mowed lawn, abandoned coral, tumbled glass, salty ocean distress oxides

one little baby

 hello lovely stampers!

I'm joining in today with the sketch challenge at CAS colours & sketches #495 drawn by the talented Cécile.

I wanted to do a baby card for my cousin who is expecting in the new year as I realised I haven't any baby cards! who knew? The giraffe from Gummiapan was die cut from kraft, and layered on a couple of hexagons from Hero Arts Infinity Hexagon die set. One was cut from kraft and embossed with Kaisercraft Mountains embossing folder. The other was die cut from inked card, embossed by hand using the Fiskars Hearts texture plate and popped up on foam squares. The sentiment stamp from Gummiapan was inked directly onto the card panel. Such a cute sentiment!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

happy birthday

 hello crafters!

I'm playing along with the talented team at CAS Colours & sketches this week where the lovely Cécile  has a colour challenge #494.

I wanted to use a new die I received from Gorgecraft and thought the trees would be lovely in these colours. I inked some card and die cut the trees. It was also die cut from a panel of Kraft which had acetate adhered to the back and then mounted on foam tape onto the card base. The acetate allowed the die cut to be adhered in the cutout - some of those trees are spindly! The Gummiapan happy birthday was stamped on an offcut from the inked panel using versamark and white heat embossed, then mounted on foam tape.

Since the die is new to me, I'm also entering this in Darnell's terrific blog NBUS. Sending hugs, Darnell!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

christmas tag

 hello stampers!

I'm joining in today with the team at justusgirls where they are having #656 wild card week and have asked for a holiday gift tag.  I usually need about a gazillion of these each year so any chance to create one is a bonus for me!

I die cut the tag using Recollections tags die set from inked card. I think it has 3 different distress oxide blues watered and swirled onto the card.  Dies are from Gummiapan: merry christmas circle, thin pine trees and the centre star of a snowflake die. The star was die cut from silver card to match the silver in the tag ribbon, the second tree was mounted on tiny foam squares.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

merry christmas

 hello lovely crafters!

I have been busy with christmas cards and today I have another classy little one ready to send out. I'm joining in with this week's sketch challenge #493 at cascoloursandsketches.

The background uses a lovely silver paper cut into strips and adhered in the corner. The presents are die cut from the Gummiapan Christmas Presents die set from navy card and ribbons from the same silver paper. The back ones are adhered and the front ones are popped up on foam squares. Sentiment from a very old stamp set is stamped and clear heat embossed for more shine.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

*Edit: Thanks to the lovely team for choosing my card among the winners!

happy birthday

 hello lovely stampers!

Today I'm joining in at CAS colours and sketches for their colour challenge #492 this week. They have chosen lovely colours which really go well together.

The background uses Sizzix Mini Foundry 3D embossing folder. This was embossed on a white card panel then swiped with pumice stone distress oxide ink, then rubbed with Tim Holtz Sterling foundry wax. This gives a lovely subtle shine while the neutral colour still shows through.

The panel was mounted behind a die cut Hero Arts Infinity square with foam tape for dimension. The Gummiapan twigs and birdies were die cut and inked then adhered in and around the square aperture. The sentiment from paper rose tiny forest was stamped and clear heat embossed for more shine.

Such a pretty colour combination. Thanks so much for stopping by!

merry christmas

 hello crafters!

I'm joining in with the justusgirls challenge #653 this week where the theme is CAS. My favourite type of card, how could I not?

I began by die cutting the Gummiapan merry christmas circle. Then I cut out an inner circle using Hero Arts Infinity Circle dies. More larger and smaller circles were die cut with the circle edges stacked up 4 high then topped with acetate then topped with the merry Christmas circle.

I used Kaisercraft mountains embossing folder with a swipe of weathered wood distress oxide ink then cut out the smaller circle to form the interior background scene.

The little tree from the Sizzix arctic bear die set was cut several times from inked card as well as the little house, and also some arrows from paper rose arrows die set. I love how the tree and house seem to float!

Another one to add to my christmas stash. Thanks so much for stopping by!

**Thanks to the lovely team at JUGS for choosing my card as the weekly winner. I'm thrilled!
