white on white

 hello crafters!

I love the idea of white on white which is what the talented team at aaacards have for their challenge this week. Happy to be able to join in!

I wanted to create dimension and texture on the card since there is no colour. The Gummiapan twigs were die cut and arranged in the vase which was embossed using the SU subtle embossing folder and mounted on foam squares. The little tag with the heart was tied on with bakers twine. The whole panel was framed with an embossed line using Fiskars texture plate, then the panel was adhered to the card base using foam squares.

 hello stampers!

I'm joining in with the paper players this week where they have a CAS challenge - my favourite! The challenge is to use a bird on your card.

I made a smooshed ink panel with several distress oxide colours and die cut a rectangle from it. A slightly bigger rectangle was die cut from white card, then embossed with the SU subtle embossing folder. The birdhouse from Paper Rose was die cut from an ink blended panel and adhered. The Gummiapan birds were die cut from the inked panel, stacked twice and adhered with teeny tiny foam squares. Sentiment from Gummiapan was stamped and clear heat embossed.

CC&S challenge #502 sketch

 hello lovely stampers!

It's time for the sketch challenge at CAS Colours and sketches and this time Michal has proposed a sketch that is perfect for cas cards.

The background was ink blended lightly then splattered with black ink. The hexagons were die cut then inked with only the focus three fully covered in ink. The gorgeous bee was stamped then watercoloured with the same honey colour ink.

We can't wait to see your card creation in our gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by!

  • dies: hero arts infinity hexagons
  • inks: wild honey, scattered straw distress oxides, memento tuxedo black, versafine clair nocturne
  • stamps: lavinia stamps bee miniature

 hello stampers!

I saw the new sketch over at freshly made sketches and knew exactly what I was going to make for the challenge! Doesn't happen often so I'm definitely taking this one!

The background was stencilled using Paper Rose lines stencil and ground espresso distress oxide ink, to make a gingham look in coffee colour! Coffee cups and sentiment are by Gummiapan.

First time cutting these coffee cup dies so I'm also linking up to Darnell's fabulous blog NBUS. Hugs to you Darnell!

one little baby

 hello lovely stampers!

I'm playing along with the paper players this week where the challenge theme is Tag, you're it! The idea is to use a tag on your card - sounds easy doesn't it?

The subtle background was stamped using darkroom door woodgrain texture stamp with pumice stone distress oxide. Using a Paper Rose die, the vase was die cut from card inked with pumice stone distress oxide, then it was embossed using the stamping up subtle embossing folder, and adhered with tiny foam squares. The dandelions and hearty twig from Gummiapan were die cut from tumbled glass inked card and arranged in the vase. The tags were die cut from inked card and white card using Recollections tag die. The Gummiapan teddy was die cut from the same blue card and adhered to the front tag. Sentiment from Gummiapan was stamped with memento tuxedo black ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
