CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #528 colours

 hello lovely crafters!

Hope you had a relaxing christmas and a wonderful new year celebration. We're looking forward to a year of crafty fun at CAS Colours & Sketches, and I've resolved to send out more of my cards instead of just growing my stash. Which means I have to be more organised with dates! Right, enough of the resolutions lol. Today we're starting off with a colours challenge proposed by Jeanne. Hope you'll join us in the gallery!

I chose to do a simple, elegant design incorporating the colours. I began by using a brayer to create an ombre panel then die cut the frames. The flower and leaves were die cut from coloured card.  I just love the long slender stem on this flower die.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. We'd love to see your card in the gallery!

CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #527 seasonal

 hello lovely crafters!

It's time for the last challenge for this year at CAS Colours and Sketches and we are asking you to choose a challenge from 2023 and make it a seasonal card! I chose Joanne's sketch from February.

I love this sketch because it's so versatile! I used some fun xmas paper for the border, then die cut a large tree and adhered it over the circle. The sentiment was stamped and the tree was finished with a tiny silver star.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Don't forget to check out our guestie Deborah's blog. We can't wait to see your creation in our gallery!

Have a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year, and we'll see you back for a fresh colour challenge on Jan 9!

CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #526 sketch

 hello lovely crafters!

It's time for the sketch challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches and this time Nancy has put together a sketch perfect for CAS cards!

I used a panel of watercoloured card, die cut it into 3 rectangles, then stamped them randomly. The feather was die cut from a tissue box! Love the shiny surface and the swirly designs on them. Sentiment was stamped and clear heat embossed and popped up on foam squares.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Don't forget to check out our guestie Deborah's blog. We can't wait to see your creation in our gallery!

  • dies: paper rose feathers, spellbinders A2 matting basics
  • inks: tea dye, wild honey, vintage photo, aged mahogany, lost shadow, evergreen bough distress oxides

CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #525 colours

 hello crafters!

It's time for the colours challenge at CAS Colours and sketches and we're lucky to have Nancy hosting your challenges this month. Such rich colours reminded me of christmas, and adding to my christmas stash is always a good idea!

The background was lightly ink blended with a neutral colour, to ground the scene. I watercoloured a  piece of card then die cut the little houses. Those teensy hearts had me seeing double for a bit - so tiny! The trees were die cut from mossy meadow card and mostly stacked twice for dimension. I used a piece of real red ribbon which I've had for ages to hold the sentiment which was clear heat embossed for shine.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and we hope to see your card in our gallery! Don't forget to stop by and check out my teammates' blogs and our guestie, Deborah.

  • dies: gummiapan little houses, trees, MFT itty bitty strips
  • inks: faded jeans, stormy sky, antique linen distress oxides, SU real red

CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #524 double

 hello crafters!

We have an extra Tuesday this month so it's time for the double challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches. Patricia has put together a lovely colour grouping with an interesting sketch. I wanted to keep it fairly traditional for this one, so did a pretty spray of flowers!

I started by winding the bakers twine around the front panel for the triangle part of the sketch, then die cut the flowers and leaves, arranging them on top. The ladybug just happened by so she got a place on the card too. Super simple with no stamping!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and we hope to see your card in our gallery! Don't forget to check out our guestie Deborah's blog too!
