one little baby

 hello lovely stampers!

I'm playing along with the paper players this week where the challenge theme is Tag, you're it! The idea is to use a tag on your card - sounds easy doesn't it?

The subtle background was stamped using darkroom door woodgrain texture stamp with pumice stone distress oxide. Using a Paper Rose die, the vase was die cut from card inked with pumice stone distress oxide, then it was embossed using the stamping up subtle embossing folder, and adhered with tiny foam squares. The dandelions and hearty twig from Gummiapan were die cut from tumbled glass inked card and arranged in the vase. The tags were die cut from inked card and white card using Recollections tag die. The Gummiapan teddy was die cut from the same blue card and adhered to the front tag. Sentiment from Gummiapan was stamped with memento tuxedo black ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

warm wishes

 hello fellow stampers!

I'm joining in today with a couple of challenges that I haven't played for a little while. I'm ready to get back into the swing of regular crafting if for nothing else than to regain my sanity after the xmas madness!

The talented team at justusgirls have a colour challenge this week and the sketch challenge is from the awesome ladies at freshlymadesketches, so combining the two works a treat.

I ink blended the background using blueprint sketch, chipped sapphire and black soot distress oxide inks then cut the rectangle shape. Another panel was ink blended with just tumbled glass and the Gorgecraft trees die cut from this card, the smallest tree adhered with foam squares. The little Gummiapan snowman was die cut and a tiny length of cotton was wrapped around him for a scarf. The sentiment from MFT Cool Day was stamped on an ink blended panel then cut to size, adhered with foam squares, with the snowman adhered to the piece. How funny that the snowman and sentiment on their own represent the sketch!

I must say it's ironic sending 'warm wishes' atm as it's 33oC here today but they are such gorgeous winter colours! Thanks so much for stopping by!

CC&S challenge #501 Colours

hello lovely stampers and happy new year!

I'm so excited to be joining the talented team at CAS colours and sketches and am really looking forward to contributing as a design team member!

This month Michal is hosting and for this colour challenge she has chosen cherry cobbler, granny apple green and blackberry bliss - a beautiful combination!

I wanted to use a new to me die and thought the colours would be great with this dreamcatcher. I die cut the front panel then die cut an aperture for a window. This was backed with acetate. The die cuts were adhered to the "window".

The sentiment was die cut and stacked 3 times and adhered to the card front. I love the way the acetate reflects the light - creates such an interesting effect.

Since this is the first cutting using this die, I'm also posting it in Darnell's wonderful blog, NBUS. Sending hugs, Darnell!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Perfectly CAS December challenge #34

 hello crafty stampers!

It's that time again for our new challenge at Perfectly CAS and this month the fitting theme is: Christmas. As always, please only use up to 1/3 of the card front for the design.

I've decided I love making Christmas cards - the possibilities for how to design them are endless! I do like the feeling of warm and cosy even though christmas here is often 30o and sunny! lol

My background here uses a script stamp and the same colour ink was used for 2 of the trees. The third tree was stamped and clear heat embossed for shine, fussy cut and popped up on foam squares. The houses were die cut and the little windows coloured with a fineliner texta to make it look like the lights are on!

The sentiment was stamped and clear heat embossed then die cut and popped up on foam squares. The little heart was die cut from inked card, clear heat embossed and stacked 3 times.

We can't wait to see your christmas card creation in our gallery. Thanks so much for stopping by today, have a lovely christmas and new year and we'll see you back in 2023!

stamps: woodware mini trees, kaisercraft script

CC&S December challenge - 500th!

 hello lovely stampers!

I'm thrilled to be joining the talented CAS colours and sketches DT for their fortnightly challenges starting January 2023! So to give you all a taste of what's in store, we're joining in with the team for this last challenge of the year.

But first, a big congratulations to the CC&S team for this, their 500th challenge. A huge milestone and one  that should make them very proud! And they've organised some prize goodies for some lucky challenge participants. Woohoo!

The December challenge is to "choose any CC&S challenge from 2022 and make it seasonal". For this challenge you have until December 31 to post your card in the gallery so let's get inking!

I chose sketch #465 from April 12.

The background was die cut from an inked panel, then embossed using an embossing folder. This was mounted on a silver rectangle slightly bigger, then adhered to the card front.

The trees were die cut from silver paper and white card then stacked and adhered to the panel. The sentiment was stamped then mounted on foam squares.

Remember you have all this month to get your card in with a chance to win some prizes!

Thanks so much for stopping by and can't wait to see your creations in the gallery!
