CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #587 sketch

 hello crafters!

This month's sketch challenge at CAS colours and sketches was designed by me! I thought a tag on a square card offered so many options. Can't wait to see your designs in our gallery!

I wanted to give the tag a few layers to make it stand out, but I think in the end it's the leaves that stole the show! lol The tag was die cut from a reverse stencilled panel, then stamped with dots and edged with 2 colours of ink. The cogs and leaves were die cut from ink smooshed panels and lightly ink blended. The sentiment was stamped and clear heat embossed, to echo the white heat embossed butterfly, then die cut into a banner.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. We'd love to see your card in the gallery!

bloom

 Morning crafters!

I recently purchased some lovely design papers from a few different companies and couldn't wait to use some for a card. The sketch over at freshly made sketches provided the perfect opportunity!

I found this subtle paper for the background and die cut some blooms to match. The lovely sentiment came from the same set of paper. I've always loved the look of a bouquet of flowers in an envelope so decided to make some tiny envelopes and fill them with blooms!

I'm also posting this one to Darnell's fabulous blog, NBUS. Sending hugs, Darnell!

Thanks for stopping by today and spending some time with me!

CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #586 colours

 hello stampers!

I'm your host this month for our colour challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches and I've chosen colours that I think may tempt you toward a masculine card.

I've used a new to me die set with a world and the 'travel' word. The world was die cut from different ink blended card, then inserted into a die cut circle on the front panel. The 'travel' word was die cut twice and stacked. I chose several small travel related stamps to stamp around the world in the challenge colours.

I'm also uploading this one to Darnell's fabulous blog, NBUS. Sending hugs, Darnell!  And thanks to a suggestion from my lovely friend (who has an eye on LOTS of blogs) I'm also joining in the fun at addicted to CAS where the theme is 'travel'!

Thanks so much for stopping by - we'd love to see your card in our gallery.

CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #585 sketch

    hello crafters!

Our latest sketch challenge at CAS colours and sketches is out and we'd love to have you join in the fun. The central rectangle is perfect for a CAS card!

The background stripe was stencilled in crumb cake to match the card. The bricks were stencilled with several colours, then splattered with water to achieve an old brick look. This was backed by a watercoloured panel. The gumboots were die cut from ink smooshed card and popped up on foam squares. Sentiment was stamped with the brick colours.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. We'd love to see your card in the gallery!

    • dies: Gummiapan twigs, gumboots, MFT skinny strips
    • stamps: Paper Rose tiny forest sentiment
    • stencils: Darkroom Door bricks, Stamperia lines
    • inks: evergreen bough, barn door, aged mahogany, ground espresso distress oxides

     morning stampers!

I was up early today so I could finish off a card I started yesterday for the paper players. Stef has presented a sketch challenge this week and I had to join in the fun!

I got a pack of free design paper a few months ago when I purchased some crafty items and I've finally broken it out!  But I only used the reverse side (is there a reverse side?). Then I raided my die cut stash and found the little hexagons, a bloom, and a banner. Perfect! The leaves were die cut from the same paper as the die cut strip. The sentiment was die cut from the background card. And all these were mounted over some stamped random dots.

Thanks for stopping by and spending some time with me today!
