CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #524 double

 hello crafters!

We have an extra Tuesday this month so it's time for the double challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches. Patricia has put together a lovely colour grouping with an interesting sketch. I wanted to keep it fairly traditional for this one, so did a pretty spray of flowers!

I started by winding the bakers twine around the front panel for the triangle part of the sketch, then die cut the flowers and leaves, arranging them on top. The ladybug just happened by so she got a place on the card too. Super simple with no stamping!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and we hope to see your card in our gallery! Don't forget to check out our guestie Deborah's blog too!

CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #519 double

hello stampers!

We have an extra Tuesday this month so it's time for the double challenge at CAS Colours and sketches and Patricia has proposed a lovely colour grouping with a simple sketch using a shape other than a rectangle.

I wanted to keep it a simple card with the focus on the flower. I used one of my favourite flower stamps, gold heat embossed the outline stamp then stamped the other layers with distress oxides. The leaves were stamped directly on the card panel, with the flower popped up on foam squares.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and we hope to see your card in our gallery! Don't forget to check out our guestie Tristan's blog too!

CC&S challenge #512 double

hello lovely stampers!

This month has a double challenge at CAS Colours and sketches and this time Patricia has proposed a beautiful combo of colours with a simple sketch.

For the sketch part, I placed the offset panel over the card base and gently swiped some ink at the edges to give the effect of the tilted panel.

A circle stencil was placed over the card front, then the ocean waves were stencilled through it. A separate circle stencil was used for the sun. The sailboat was die cut from orange card and mounted on tiny foam squares. Sentiment was stamped in the same colour as the ocean waves.

We'd love to see your creation in our gallery! Don't forget to check out our guest designer, Lesley's blog too. Thanks so much for stopping by!
