CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #592 colours

 hello stampers!

Amanda is our host at CAS Colours & Sketches and she has chosen a fabulous colour combo!

I recently received this Eiffel Tower die as part of a mystery pack of dies (love the mystery packs!). How gorgeous is this die? Happily, it's always been one of my favourite images (don't ask how many things in my home have an Eiffel Tower image lol) and I recently read that it was finally again painted in the original yellow-brown colour that Mr Eiffel himself chose. I decided to pay respect to this choice with Pecan Pie!

The flowers are part of the die, so I die cut it 3 times - once in each colour, cutting away the sections to leave pink flowers and blue leaves, then adhered them. The centre flower was die cut again and layered with foam to make it pop. The sentiment was stamped in the same blue.

*I was also fortunate enough to spend several days in Paris last month after my holiday to the UK, so it was literally a few weeks ago that I was gazing up at the Eiffel Tower and admiring the new colour. Ah Paris... 💕

Thanks so much for stopping by - we'd love to see your card in our gallery.

CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #591 sketch

    hello crafters!

This month's sketch challenge at CAS colours and sketches was designed by Suzy. Perfect for a CAS card with all the detail on just one half of the card front!

I used a new die from tonic studios for the background - this was die cut from ink smooshed card. The sentiment was die cut from ink blended card in the same colours. The gorgeous teapot and teacups were die cut from ink smooshed card then gold heat embossed around the edges. Gold card was used to die cut the sentiment background and tray.

I'm also posting this card in Darnell's fabulous blog, NBUS. Sending hugs, Darnell!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. We'd love to see your card in the gallery!

CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #590 colours

    hello stampers!

Joanne is our host at CAS Colours & Sketches  and she has put together a gorgeous palette of colours that looked to me like sunset colours!

I started off by watercolouring a couple of white panels, then die cut the mountains, trees and house from them. The trees were given one edge of blended ink. The sentiment was stamped and mounted on foam squares.

Thanks so much for stopping by - we'd love to see your card in our gallery.

CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #589 sketch

     hello crafters!

This month's sketch challenge at CAS colours and sketches was designed by the lovely Joanne.  Terrific little grouping of elements in the top corner, which lends itself to some interesting ideas, while still keeping your card CAS!

I die cut a small square of watercoloured card, then stencilled in 2 colours over it, and ink blended the edges. It was mounted over a strip of inked card, then the little butterfly was adhered. The butterfly was die cut from watercoloured and ink smooshed card. Sentiment was stamped and die cut.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. We'd love to see your card in the gallery!

CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #588 colours

     hello stampers!

This month for our colours challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches Suzy is our host and she's chosen some gorgeous deep colours. I wanted to do flowers but thought I'd change it up a little!

I recently got a new set of dies with flowers and leaves and thought it would be great in these colours. Then when looking through my die cut stash I came across this butterfly in the right purple colour. Serendipity!

I've been wanting to do a butterfly half flowers for a while. I ended up die cutting the leaves from green card and the flowers were die cut and watercoloured with the purple colours. Truly this was not a difficult make - simply placed and adhered the leaves and buds, then the purple flowers on top, after tracing out the shape of the butterfly in reverse. The sentiment was sponged with an ink dauber with both purple and black to make a variegated look.

Thanks so much for stopping by - we'd love to see your card in our gallery.
