depresso

 hello crafters!

The talented team at timeout challenges has a photo for inspiration this week. I couldn't resist!

I chose a strip of design paper which was the closest thing I had to coffee beans, and die cut the coffee cups. The lids were die cut from black card, and the little labels from aqua card. They were assembled on the design paper which was adhered with foam tape to give the idea of space in the cups. The sentiment was stamped, die cut and adhered with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  • stamp: Gummiapan

CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #546 colours

hello stampers!

It's our first challenge for October at CAS colours and sketches, and Laura has put these gorgeous colours together.  I can definitely feel an autumn vibe!

I used orange to blend the background, then adhered the vines, die cut from ink smooshed card. The dragonfly was cut twice from navy design paper, and adhered with its wings left loose. The circle was die cut from ink smooshed card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. We'd love to see your card in the gallery!

I'm also posting this one on Timeout challenges where the challenge this week is an autumn themed one. I love the quote by Van Gogh, and realised I had a stamp with a similar quote from Camus. What luck!

  • dies: SSS whirl dragonfly, Gummiapan twigs, MFT infinity circles
  • stamps: Gummiapan sentiment
  • inks: carved pumpkin, vintage photo distress oxides

 hello stampers!

I'm joining in today with the timeout challenge where they challenge you to be 'snarky'. Such fun!

The background was watercoloured then lightly water splattered. The die cuts were cut from white card, and watercoloured card. The snowman and snowflake dies are Gummiapan, the mug from MFT Cool Day. The sentiment by Tim Holtz was backed by the same watercoloured card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

merry christmas

 hello stampers!

I'm joining in today with the latest timeout challenge where the theme is 'seeing stars'. When I think of stars, I often think of christmas and who doesn't need more christmas cards?

I wanted the stars to take centre stage, so on a navy blue card panel, I embossed a grouping of stars with white embossing paste, just selecting the ones I wanted from the star stencil. Once dry, the trees were die cut and adhered. The christmas tree was cut several times to get the background colour, the decoration colour and then the snowy outline. Some tiny circles and the star were punched from gold card and adhered as ornaments on the tree. The sentiment was stamped and die cut then the tree and sentiment were adhered with foam squares.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

  • stencil: Gummiapan no. 38
  • dies: unbranded tree dies
  • stamp: Gummiapan sentiment

so glad

 hello crafters!

I've got some time today so decided to enter a few challenges. Luckily, I was able to combine 3 into 1 card. Timeout has an interesting challenge to use alphabet magnet letters; which I remember were so much fun! Inkspirational has a 'seasonal' theme and the snarky sisters have O is for Outside this month. Phew!

Die cutting the letters was the easy part but my goodness there were a lot to watercolour! The background panel was brayered with green from the bottom up and blue from the top down. Then random stamps were stamped in white and white heat embossed. Some of the letters got a bit of bling with a white jelly roll pen.

Love this sentiment -  Thanks for stopping by today!

  • stamps: Lavinia mini seed head, butterfly, Globleland dandelion
  • dies: MFT bitty banner
  • inks: kitsch flamingo, mowed lawn, salty ocean, tumbled glass, bundled sage, mustard seed, candied apple, twisted citron, squeezed lemonade, carved pumpkin, wilted violet distress oxides

cupcake

 hello lovely stampers!

It's a rainy, stormy day today which gave me crafty time :) so I'm joining in with a couple of challenges. Timeout challenge #260 has a 'striped' theme and the paper players have a tictactoe challenge. I chose the right column of ribbon, embossing, pastels.

I wanted a subtle background so inked up a few little stamps in soft colours. I've recently got a few of the teensy tiniest stamps from Gummiapan which you can see top right, going downwards. The sentiment is also from Gummiapan which makes me giggle! The icing was die cut from ink blended card then the outer part was clear heat embossed for shine. The cupcake was die cut from pastel pink card stencilled with darker pink stripes.

Since a few of the stamps are new, I'm also posting this to Darnell's fabulous blog, NBUS. Sending hugs, Darnell, hope you're well!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

  • dies: Paper Rose cupcake, Memory Box mini butterflies
  • stamps: Gummiapan hello, surprise, enjoy the little things, sentiment, Kaisercraft script, MFT take shape
  • stencil: MFT radiating rays

hugs

 hello crafters!

I'm joining in today with justusgirls challenge #718 which is doing a collaboration with timeout challenge #259, and the theme is 'birds of a feather'. How awesome!

I recently got this little sizzix die of the bird on the branch - such a cutie! The background hexagons were die cut from ink smooshed card, some were embossed. The trees were also cut from the same ink smooshed card as the bird to echo the colours.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

happy birthday

 hello lovely stampers!

I'm playing along wth the team at timeout challenges #257 where they are celebrating their 10th birthday! Congratulations, such a milestone! I wanted to celebrate with them, so am entering my card in their challenge.

It's a little card using Gummiapan dies. The panel was embossed using SU woodland, then mounted on a wet stencilled panel. The beautiful birdcage was gold heat embossed and a black one was die cut and mounted as a shadow.

Thanks for stopping by!
