happy birthday

 hello crafters!

I'm joining in today with the talented team at the paper players. It's a tic tac toe challenge and I chose to use the centre row: orange, die cut, stencil. Also posting it in the just us girls challenge #746 where it is stencil week.

I began by stencilling the background using Hero Arts Fall Leaves stencil. I used 4 distress oxide colours starting with the lightest and moved the stencil around between stencilling each colour. It gives such an interesting effect with so much dimension. Boots and sentiment are from Gummiapan, leaves from Spellbinders. The little leaves were die cut from ink smooshed card and adhered under the boots.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Rachel... your fall background is stunning! It must be funny to be in Australia and playing along with an "opposite" season. The card will be a welcome addition in your stash till needed. Thank you so much for joining and sharing your talents with Just Us Girls (and the Paper Players!).

  2. This stenciled background is fabulous Rachel! Great mix of colors that don't fight each other but complement instead. Love the boots too, for stomping in the crunch leaves. Thanks for playing along with our season here even though you are in a different one, and thanks for playing often with us here at Just Us Girls!
